Charlotte ISD is a small 1A school district (which will be re-classified as 2A beginning August 2014) that has over 500 students PreK through 12th grade. Charlotte is located 45 miles SW of San Antonio between Jourdanton and Pearsall on State Hwy 97 in Atascosa County.  The name Charlotte was given in the early 1900's by Dr. Charles Simmons, who aided in the development of Atascosa County and the town's streets are uniquely laid out like the spokes of a wagon wheel.  Charlotte ISD seeks individuals who love working with students, are team players, and want to be part of a small-town community (population 1,715).
